REDSKINS AT COWBOYS;

No choking or drama here,I’ll trust the Cowboys will take care of business this time.  Dallas 24 Washington 13

BROWNS AT LIONS;

Browns owner, Randy Lerner, has had better results with his Premiership team, Aston Villa, than he has with the Browns. To illustrate that point, the Browns have 5 offensive touchdowns in their last 15 games !!! Both teams are 1-8, so I’ll flip a coin and pick the Lions. I’m sure you’ll be watching the game.Detroit 20-Cleveland 10

49rs AT PACKERS;

San Francisco could be a pretty good team if they could upgrade at quarterback. The Packers would really be good if they could fix their offensive line. Green Bay is 3-2 at home, while the ‘Niners are 1-3 on the road.  I’ll give the edge to the Pack 24-13.

STEELERS AT CHIEFS;

The Chiefs will become Maple Leafs, before they ever beat the Steelers. How’s that for poetic prognostication????? ……. Pittsburgh 38- Kansas City 9.

SEAHAWKS AT VIKINGS;

The Seahawks fans are already sleepless in Seattle, just contemplating the score. That is aggravated by Seattle’s road woes, where they are 0-4.

Minnesota 34- Seattle 17

FALCONS AT GIANTS;

The road team has won the last 12 games between these two teams going back to 1979. Having said that, the Falcons are not a great road team, and this year they are 1-4 away from the dome.  I’ll pick the Giants to break the string of road wins in this series. New York 27 Atlanta 16

SAINTS AT BUCCANEERS;

After thoughtful contemplation, and detailed research, I’m picking New Orleans 37 Tampa Bay 12

BILLS AT JAGUARS;

The Jaguars are 3-1 at home, while the Bills are 2-3 away from Orchard Park. I’m going with the fired coach factor to pump up Buffalo , and help them to a mild upset. Buffalo 20 Jacksonville 17.

COLTS AT RAVENS; Baltimoreans are still upset about THEIR COLTS leaving for Indianapolis. So this game has lots of emotions for the fans ,as much as it does for the players, but in a different way. Of course the original Cleveland Browns are now the Baltimore Ravens, so the folks in Baltimore shouldn’t be so hard on the transplanted Colts.  As for the game, the Colts are perfect so far, and at home, the Ravens are 3-1.  It’s nearly impossible to shut down Payton Manning, as we saw again last week. I’m sticking with Indy. Colts 34 Ravens 23.

CARDINALS AT RAMS;

The Cardinals were so bad in St.Louis, before being bad for a long time in Arizona, that news columnist George Will once referred to them as “The Fraudinals”. I wonder what name he has for this version of the Rams. How about the “Shams”?  Arizona 31 St.Louis 10.

CHARGERS AT BRONCOS;

The Chargers have won 4 in a row since beating the Broncos October 19. The Broncos have lost 3 straight since then.San Diego is 3-1 away, and Denver is 3-1 at home. The Chargers will keep rolling by a score of 27-24.

BENGALS AT RAIDERS;

Cincinnati is 4-0 on the road, while the Raiders are 1-4 at home. It’s a difficult choice, but I’m picking the Bengals to win 35-14.

JETS AT PATRIOTS;

Do you think the Patriots might be just a little fired up after coach Belichick’s brain cramp, game ending strategy, cost them a win against the Colts ???? You can bet they’ll take it out on the Jets and win by 41-21. By the way, New England is 5-0 at home. New York is 2-2 on the road.

EAGLES AT BEARS;

Donovan McNabb is a Chicago area native, so he’ll put on a show. The problem is that Andy Reid isn’t crazy about the running game, so the Eagles struggle in converting some of their red zone opportunities into touchdowns. Philadelphia has had horrible injury problems with their starting linebackers. I’ll pick the Bears to win an aerial shootout by 28-24.

TITANS AT TEXANS;

Vince Young has Tennessee on a roll since he got his job back as starting quarterback.  The Titans are 1-4 away, but they seem more like the team we expected to see at the start of the year, since Young took over as field general.The Texans are 2-2  in Houston, but I think the Titans will continue their improved play, and out last the Texans, by a score of 24- 20.
