This Saturday night August 28, the UFC makes its first trip to Massachusetts to put on there
next Pay Per View UFC 118 in Boston.
UFC 118 will feature a highly-anticipated bouts: Randy Couture vs. James Toney
UFC 118 will also have a championship bout:
UFC Lightweight Championship fight featuring former champ BJ Penn against current champ
Frankie Edgar for a second time.
UFC 118 Card:
Marcus Davis VS.Nate Diaz:
Nate Diaz (12-5) is 25 years old.He is the winner of the The Ultimate Fighter 5. Diaz, had
victories in his first five octagon fights.
He did drop back-to-back bouts to Clay Guida.In his hast fight this past March he was victorious
with a 1st round TKO over Rory Markham.
Marcus Davis (17-6) is 36 years old. Davis,is a former The Ultimate Fighter 2 participant.Davis has
split his last six, although did pick up a victory in his most recent fight this May over Jonathan
Goulet.
Pick: Nate Diaz just is too young a too fast for Davis to handle.

Mario Miranda VS.Demian Maia:
Demian Maia (12-2) is 32 years old. Maia, Won his first six bouts before arriving in the UFC in
2007. Maia has wins over Ryan Jensen, Ed Herman, Jason MacDonald, Nate Quarry, and Chael
Sonnen before suffering his first career loss. He was defeated at UFC 102 by Nate
Marquardt.
He was outmatched at UFC 112 this April losing all five rounds of his title fight with current
champion Anderson Silva.
Mario Miranda (12-1) won his last bout a 2nd round TKO victory over David Loiseau in June
Pick: I do believe that Demian Maia will rebound from his lost to Silva and be victories in this
match which will be a slugfest

Gray Maynard VS.Kenny Florian:
Kenny Florian (14-4) is 34 years old. Florian, will try to get his third opportunity to fight for the
UFC lightweight title with a victory at UFC 118 has fought for the lightweight title twice,losing
to Sean Sherk and to BJ Penn. ther than those two losses, he has never lost as a lightweight
Gary Maynard (9-0, 1 NC) is 31 years old, Maynard,has victories over current champion Frankie
Edgar, Roger Huerta, and in his most recent bout in January Nate Diaz.
Pick: Kenny Florian will fight in his home state and will be very motivated to put on a great show

Randy Couture vs. James Toney: Co Main Event
Randy Couture (18-10) is 47 years old and is a UFC Hall of Famer. Couture has won the
heavyweight title three times, light-heavyweight title twice, interim heavyweight title once,
fought in fifteen UFC title bouts, and was the first person to hold titles in two different weight
classes.
James Toney, is 41 years old. Toney has be competing in professional boxing and has a victory
over Evander Holyfield
Pick: This should and will be a miss match. Randy Couture will let Toney get a few shots in but
should dominate this bout.

UFC 118 Main Event: BJ Penn VS. Frankie Edgar:
Frankie Edgar (12-1) is 28 years old. Has four straight victories defeating Hermes Franca, Sean
Sherk, Matt Veach, and B J Penn to capture the belt. The current champion has won “Fight of
Night” on three different occasions.This will be his first title defense since he took the title from
B J this April.
B J Penn (15-6-1) is 31 years old.Has fought George St. Pierre, Matt Hughes,Jens Pulver,Joe
Stevenson and Frankie Edgar
Pick: This should be a tremendous rematch. In April, Edgar was able to beat Penn at his own
game, outclassing him on his feet with his boxing skills.This time i see Frankie Edgar will do the
same thing but B J Penn will be ready and catch Edgar with a submission
