It is way to early to start referring to stats at this point of the season. As we have all seen in week one, what looks good on paper, doesn’t necessarily translate onto the playing field.  Choose as you like, but I wouldn’t be basing everything for week two, on what we saw in week one.  Tony Romo obviously screwed up last week, and Wade Phillips took the blame for the Cowboys. Romo likes to gamble, just like his hero, Brett Favre, and his high risk play blew up on him, and cost Dallas the game.

The Colts have struggled with stopping the run for several years, so that is nothing new. Obviously, they weren’t expecting Arian Foster to be as dominating as he was. I’m sure the Texans weren’t anticipating Foster’s fantastic performance either.

There seems to be as much parity in the NFL right now, as there has been in quite some time.

Good luck with your picks for week # 2.

Cardinals at Falcons: I think the Cardinals will have a big drop this year because of their personnel moves. This is the time for the Falcons to step up.  Atlanta wins by 21-20.

Ravens at Bengals: The Ravens are for real. Not so sure about Cincinnati: Baltimore 31 Bengals 19.

Dolphins at Vikings: Miami is on it’s way up, but they are not in the same league with Minnesota.: Vikings 33 Dolphins 23

Bucs at Panthers: Tampa Bay has got some good young players, but it will take some time for the likes of Josh Freeman and Mike Williams to mature into prime time NFL impact men: Carolina 23 Tampa Bay 22.

Bills at Packers: The Sabres would have a better chance at winning this one for Buffalo: Green Bay 29 Buffalo 18.

Eagles at Lions: Detroit is improving very gradually. Philadelphia might be a bit too much for them right now: Eagles 24 Lions 17.

Bears at Cowboys: Romo will be run out of Texas if he messes up again this week. Dallas is a better team than Chicago: Cowboys 27 Bears 24.

Chiefs at Browns: K.C. looked great last week. It will continue this week for G.M. Scott Pioli’s ( former G.M. with the Patriots) team: Chiefs 31 Browns 17.

Steelers at Titans: Pittsburgh’s defence looks as good as ever: Pittsburgh 20 Tennessee 16.

Seattle at Denver: Coach Pete Carroll’s Seahawks looked surprisingly strong against the 49ers last week. That trend will continue this week: Seattle 27 Denver 22.

Rams at Raiders: A tough game to call. St.Louis looks like they will be more competitive this season, but they still have a long way to go : Rams 26 Raiders 23.

Jaguars at Chargers: San Diego seems to get off to slow starts. This should be an easy match for them, but, they better start picking up their game: Chargers 32- Jaguars 23.

Patriots at Jets: Wouldn’t it be funny if Rex Ryan’s team lost again. He would be speechless !!! LOL !!!:  New England 24 New York 20.

Texans at Redskins: Houston looked great against the Colts. They will also look impressive against Washington: Texans 31  Redskins 24.

Giants at Colts: Indy was awful against the run, which isn’t really anything new. The biceps injury for Bob Sanders is devastating: Peyton edges Eli, 34-30 in the Manning bowl.

Saints at 49rs: Singletary was sleepless after the scorching in Seattle, by 31-6 this past week. He’ll be sleepless again next week:  New Orleans 38 San Francisco 20.
